About us

The Academy of St. Dorothy, founded in 1932, is a private elementary school administered by the Sisters of St. Dorothy. We affirm our tradition of catholic education as a member of the Archdiocese of New York. As an academic institution, we provide educational instruction from Prekindergarten through Grade Eight in conjunction with the New York State academic guidelines. Through a collaborative learning environment, we strive to instill in each of our students the religious and moral values of a Catholic Christian environment. We feel that these values are the foundation for academic growth and success.
